How accurate are drug tests 2u drug tests?
Better than 99% (at cut of levels) and 100% (at higher levels), compared with Syva emit machines. Every batch is thoroughly tested in manufacture.
Drug Tests 2u are convenient and simple to use, there is no risk of technical faults. Every batch is consistent so you get identical results wherever you conduct the test.
What are the economics of using rapid tests?

How do I interpret the lines?
A line on the test area is NEGATIVE.
No line on the test area is POSITIVE.
Any line, no matter how faint, on the test area is a NEGATVE result.
A line on the CONTROL area should always appear as proof the test works and the sample is appropriate for testing.
It is normal for lines to develop at different rates, and have different intensities.
A NEGATIVE result can appear within a minute or under.
To read a POSITIVE result you have to wait the full 5 minutes development time for an accurate result.
What if the test lines have not appeared?
Firstly, did you take the cap off the test panel to expose the strips? Make sure the test was dipped in urine, ensuring it is not dipped as far as the plastic (or individual strips only as far as the mark) otherwise the test will flood. If the TEST line is absent but the CONTROL line is present, the test is POSITIVE.
What are the cut off levels?
All drug tests 2u have a cut off level – the point below which there is not enough substance to be detected.
Levels are internationally agreed by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration).
Concentrations above the cut off level are positive and concentrations below the level are NEGATIVE.
The cut off level ensures there is no risk of a false positive from accidental contamination or exposure to drugs. Different drug tests have different cut off levels.
How can I prevent urine adulteration?
Make sure the donor washes their hands thoroughly before providing the sample. Wear gloves when you carry out testing.
Discolour toilet water by using a dye sachet from info@drugtests2u.co.uk.
Use a temperature strip on the cup to check the urine is fresh.
Remove chemicals and tape up water sources in the toilet area.
How does the technology work?
Drug or dye binds to a special protein called an antibody. The technology is called ‘competitive immunoassay’ and is very reliable. For further information ask for our diagram of how a test works. At the same time, another antibody is used to react in the same way to produce the CONTROL line. The antibodies are ‘monoclonal’ which ensures they are always identical from one batch to another, and have pinpoint accuracy. False results are highly unlikely.
What about passive smoking?
Passive smoking will not cause a positive cannabis result.
96% of the cannabis is destroyed by heat in the tip of the joint.
Exhaled smoke only contains 5% of the active ingredient, because smokers inhale deeply and retain the smoke for longer.
You’d need goggles to protect your eyes in order to inhale enough smoke to fail a test. Passive smoking will not affect hair testing either. We have very accurate nicotine tests for passive smoking, which will identify any genuine issues.
We’ve trailed ‘hemp seed oil capsules’ which don’t cause a positive result either.
What about positive opiate results from codeine?
Codeine is an opiate, so it can cause a positive opiates test result. Ask about painkillers or cough mixture use, which both contain codeine, before testing. Our tests use an opiates 2000 test that has higher cut-off level than the usual 300 test, and is unlikely to detect normal dosage level.
What about interactions with other drugs?
Drug tests 2u tests will react with similar compounds; there are actually over 40 different benzodiazepines including Diazepam, Flunitrazepam, etc. The benzo test will detect them all.
Don’t confuse drug tests 2u with inferior products from other suppliers. All this supporting technical information only applies to Drug Tests 2u tests.
